Reflection Task 3: Presentation
Presenting Learning PowerPoint was originally a business tool however, education has tweaked the platform to be a successful teaching tool. Within classrooms, PowerPoint is a platform that supports the embedding of text, linking, interactivity, audio, video, and images. Further, it is very effective with contemporary learners. This particular digital tool aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers 2.6, "implement teaching strategies for using ICT to expand curriculum learning opportunities for students" (AITSL, 2011). Teachers can use PowerPoint to create presentations that combine media and text to complement each other. Furthermore, presentations aim to persuade, narrate and/or educate.
